Coffee Time

Everyone has their weaknesses in the morning and mine happens to be coffee. I can only have so much before I start to feel like my heart is about to explode, heh.

Oh my gosh, could this be a world record in Imagination Harvest History? CONSISTENT UPDATING??? Meh, I give myself a week to relapse and become lazy again. That good ol' N64 Zelda: Ocarina of Time is calling my name!

I drew this little ditty at work real quick to let y'all know that I haven't forgotten about you and the website. I'm sure this is tiring, but I'll be posting some more this weekend (now that I've figured out the scanner at work, muahaha!).

Hopefully everyone is having an awesome Friday and that the weather will be nice this weekend. I was thinking of going out on an adventure by seeing the Greenberg movie with Ben Stiller in it. I'm not sure what all is going to happen, but that's part of the fun of movies! Maybe some more sketching at the Arboretum this weekend as well... we'll see now won't we?

The Arboretum Visit.

I went to the Arboretum for the first time this past weekend and it was pretty cool. I wasn't expecting it to be so huge... or that peacocks were there! Lauren = Whoa! :O

Parking was a bitch since the boyfriend and I went on a Saturday, but after slowly yet finally finding a spot (I wasn't driving), we met up with a friend and wondered the grounds for a nice drawing place. The boys decided to park in front of the Fantasy Island house, which I've never seen the movie so I didn't get any of the quotes the boyfriend was saying. I decided to start drawing some palm trees that had ivy on it. I must say that palm trees are a pain in the ass to draw! ARRRGH! Once I started kind of getting the pattern of the former leaves that usually encase the tree, I started feeling a little better about my drawing.

My palm tree picture will be posted later today.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Well, obviously I haven't updated for quite a while... Thus this is currently under construction and will be updating again soon!

Getting a new laptop will hopefully help with production and my ability to post more often. Yay! I'll be posting sketches and more post-it note drawings every now-and-then, so hopefully you'll be happier with that then nothing at the moment.

Currently Borderlands is taking over my free time, but I'll definitely post something this weekend.

Sticky Note Madness 01

I'm currently feeling out how I want to draw the characters in my blog comic. Sorry for not keeping up with updates. Nothing like my yearly visit of depression! Yaaaay.
Anyways, I'm writing up ideas and soon this comic will continue with regular updates. So be happy!

This was scanned in from a sticky note I drew on at work. Obviously you cannot see the yellow since I scanned in Grey scale, but I don't see it as that big of a deal. I'll be putting up random sticky note drawings every now and then since that is what I have to draw on at work while things are loading. Fun stuff.

Free Comic Book Day is coming up in a couple of weeks, so get out there and grab some awesome comics! Expand your mind! Come on people, free stuff!!! I'll be venturing out and exploring the closest comic book store to me and seeing if it's good or not. What makes a comic book store good, you ask? Well! I like to be able to search a wide variety of comics (like Austin Comics or Dragon's Lair), which is ideal. I'm still trying to become familiar with my surroundings here in Pasadena so hopefully this place will be pretty good. I mean, anyone who participates in FCBD has got to be pretty okay, right? Am I right???
*Sigh*

Anyway, I'm going to explore the new lunch room we have now at work.
